Living World: The Dragon's Reach:- Part 2
Posted on Wednesday the 20th of August, 2014, 1:01 PM by Edward Orr

The dragon’s reach continues to grow.  The tendrils of Mordremoth have disrupted lives throughout Tyria, subverted the defences of the races, and brought misery with them.  It is up to our heroes to sow the seeds of unity and band together the 5 races against a new foe.

The team at ArenaNet have released their latest update to the Living World story and the quest to warn Tyria of the impending threat of Mordremoth continues.  Episode 3 saw our heroes scattered across Tyria in an effort to persuade the leaders of the 5 races to attend a summit to discuss the Mordrem threat.  Episode 4 now begins in Divinity’s Reach where the summit now hangs in the balance.  Vicious whispers circulating in the court of Queen Jennah threaten to prevent her from attending.

The list of AAA multiplayer RPG games with a massive open world is a short one. Since the closure of Star Wars Galaxies, I still hear players lament that one time they raided an enemy city or cornered a market. Alternatives have been few and far between for the gamer looking for the freedom to do their own thing. That might be about to change with a new release from the team at Trion. Developed by XL Games in Korea, ArcheAge is a part theme park part sandbox MMO based in a massive fantasy world. With Beta and Alpha testing ongoing I took the opportunity to run through levels 1-25 to gather my first impressions.
